Election commission to give poll demonstration at Madison library

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) – When voters head to the polls for the August election, you will notice new equipment when you cast your ballot.

Metro will use new voting machines during August election

The Davidson County Election Commission will hold demonstrations on how to use the new system on Wednesday at Madison Branch of the Nashville Public Library from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

The new machines will include a paper ballot.

Voters will make their selections on a touch screen, then their choices will be printed out.

Voters will have to verify their votes by placing the ballot into a scanner.
